Jane is a Lacemaker and mixed media artist. She has been making and teaching bobbin lace
locally for 40 years and is an expert in her field. Using traditional techniques and fine thread she is
developing contemporary pieces of Art Lace fit for modern times – not a doily in sight!
Jane also paints the natural world, primarily using watercolour and gouache, but works in other media as
the subject and interpretation demands, and as light relief she is exploring abstraction using acrylic and primary colour.
Focus on detail and structure is a feature of both her work streams.
